I highly recommend Lone Star Roofing. They recently replaced the roof on our townhome building, which includes several units, and completed the entire job in just one day. The crew was professional, organized, and worked efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality.
In addition to the roof replacement, they also replaced our attic vent fans and properly reset the fan controls to the correct operating set points. Their attention to detail and willingness to address all aspects of the project was appreciated.
Throughout the process, communication was excellent. Whenever I had a question, they answered my calls and took the time to explain everything clearly. It’s refreshing to work with a company that is responsive, dependable, and stands behind its work.

I had a roof torn up by a hurricane . A friend of my wife recommended lone star roofing. I contacted them and it was one of the best things I have done. My insurance company did not want to allow very much replacement but even their assortment said it should all be replaced. Lone star worked with my insurance company and got the whole roof replacement approved. Their crew did an excellent job and I am very pleased.
I would recommend them for any roofing work.

A rogue hail storm came through the area (Bryan/College Station) and pelted many roofs in ours and nearby neighborhoods. Mike, from Lone Star, was on it! Came and met with our insurance adjuster and advocated for a thorough inspection and best claim. We had a check from the adjuster in under 48 hours and Lone Star arrived the next day to replace our roof! Would 100% recommend this company.

Miguel Gonzalez saved me $4K from other quotes. They showed up at 5:30 AM on SAT and were done by 1:30. He found errors on my roof, made corrections to my chimney, the shingles are perfectly straight, fixed all the wood, installed new solar fan, found errors on my previous roof with no starter, was totally responsive to all questions, easy to get in contact with, will follow up with me in 8 months, couldn't be happier. I had leaks and my roof was at the end. He saved my house ! The owner showed up on site and is a great guy with a great family owned company that stands behind their reputation and work. See the photos of the before and after. Do your research. I went with Certainteed Landmark Pro Weathered Wood color. Best top of the line shingles worth every penny in their weight and quality. The house is already cooler too! Give them a try. Lone Star Roofing, great company, trust worthy. Worth every dollar.

I was concerned that a severe hail storm last April had damaged my roof, so I had Michael Holt of Lone Star Roofing inspect the roof for damage. He informed me that there was significant damage and suggested I file a claim with my insurance company. After filing the claim, the insurance company sent an inspector out and with Michael Holt present, they again inspected the roof for damage. The insurance inspector said there was little if any damage.
Michael suggested I challenge the insurance company's findings so I formally challenged their decision. Per my insurance policy, two independent inspectors checked out the roof together and arrived at a consensus that there WAS significant damage and provided a detailed estimate of the damage repair costs. The insurance company then awarded the claim in full. This was 8 months after the hail storm!
Because Michael had stuck with me for the preceding 8 months to get the claim awarded, I contracted the work with Lone Star Roofing who did the work for the same amount as the insurance award. Their work was excellent with all damaged areas repaired expertly and with a crew that was very respectful of the surrounding shrubs and with a daily cleanup to keep the house looking good. The subcontractors that Lone Star used for exterior paint were also top notch.
I am an engineer and had done shingle roofing as a college student. I was impressed with Lone Star's workmanship and attention to detail. Michael Holt was very helpful and persistent in helping me get through this long process. I highly recommend Lone Star Roofing's work. If there were 6 stars to rate, I would have given them a 6-star rating.

I hired the Lone Star team to replace a shingled roof on my Garden Oaks 2-story single family home. I found working with the owner Mike, a pleasure to deal with, kept his word on timing and delivered a very competitive quote. Compared to other roofing contractors in the neighborhood.
The roofing team arrived bright and early one morning and worked efficiently through the one day it took replace the entire shingle. I was amazed it only took one day. The team tidied up the old shingle and debris, removing all the waste.
The house looks so much better. I had not realized how much the original house shingle had deteriorated.

In over 40 years I have hired n less than (15) roofing companies from the independent, regional to national companies and for my commercial and residual roof replacement jobs. Lone Star was suggested to me by another of his satisfied clients. The second best decision I have made was to call Michael Holt. My first best decision was to hire his company. Costs matters but what separated him from the other bidders was his attitude and that is, to please his customers. His expeditious crew did ‘extra’ work at his direction without extra cost. I had Lone Star Roofing replace my roof in March - they had to remove two layers of existing roofing, re- deck, and then install all the roofing materials - additionally my slope of the roof is extremely steep. The roofing crew covered all the landscaping around my yard and even had a huge tarp which they used to cover my pool. The job was completed in two days and the clean-up after was immaculate - I give them 5 stars!

I am not the type to leave reviews, however my experience with Lone Star Roofing was above and beyond. Needed a full roof replacement which was out of pocket and not through via insurance. Called and had a total of 5 quotes. Was able to have George come out to the house and give a free estimate. After a little negotiating back and forth we came to a number which was a lot lower then the HUGE companies in Houston but higher then some of the independent roofers (Most likely not insured, etc). George was the one who sold me on the roof because of his non pushy sales pitch and his communication. Had problems with HOA approving new roof and even ran a physical sample to HOA office which is 15 miles from me. From estimate to completion he communicated every step and even sent pictures while installing. He assured me all my needs would be met that we agreed on and sure enough the roof looks better then I expected. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs a new roof and at a fair price. In addition, if you want someone who you can trust and rely on please ask for George to come out. Thank you for such a pleasant experience.

Very professional service. Mike, the owner, met concurrently with my claims agent so the process was very efficient. My claims agent indicated Mike was super to work with which all in all streamlined the process. Mike scheduled the job quickly. Lone Star provided the necessary plywood decking and Tech Shield at no added cost which had become compromised over time. The crew was efficient, friendly, tarped the necessary hardscaping and landscaping and cleaned up everything professionally. I would highly recommend them for your roofing needs. The problem with roofing companies is that each bid includes or excludes different things and unless you are informed, comparing proposals is difficult. After struggling through proposals from three different companies, I put the project down for a month or two. I then called Lone Star and Mikes' approach came across clear and uncluttered. When asked who would be on-site during the job, he said he would be. Lone Star may not be the largest shop, but delivery was personal. There was minor damage to some outdoor garden lighting which Mike made good on.

Our homeowners insurance company first declined our claim for hail damage even though our neighbor's had been approved. Michael took pictures of all the damage, worked directly with the company, filed an appeal, and the claim was approved. Work was scheduled immediately and completed in a day. His crew was very professional and left no debris or evidence of any kind they'd even been there. We had a roof leak 6 months later due to a broken seal around a roof jack and Michael was quick to respond, schedule the repair, and follow-up. He did not charge for the repair even though it was likely a pre-existing condition. I would use them again and highly recommend them to everyone.
